The Comal Community Band’s “Broadway at the Brauntex” concert will feature many of Broadway’s greatest hits. This form of musical entertainment originated in 1943 with the musical ”Oklahoma”. The music of Broadway evokes smiles, laughter, sadness and perhaps a few tears, but always leaves us wanting more. It allows us to visualize flying nannies, dancing waiters, grotesque villains, handsome heroes and beautiful leading ladies. All by simply hearing the music.
